Waselius expands its EU and competition team with the strategic appointment of Sami Hartikainen as Counsel. The appointment signifies the further growth of the firm’s EU and competition practice and enables the firm to offer even greater support in all aspects of EU law to its clients going forward.
Sami is particularly known for his leading expertise in state aid and legal issues relating to the internal market. Sami joins Waselius from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland where he has successfully represented the Finnish Government in numerous cases before the European Commission and the European Court of Justice. Sami has more than 15 years of experience and has also advised clients in a wide range of industries in EU and competition law matters at another Finnish law firm.
