Waselius acted for Balder Finland in its acquisition of the Tampere Arena hotel property from a consortium comprising LähiTapiola, OP, Ilmarinen and SRV. The transaction involved the sale of the sellers’ ownership interests in Tampereen Areenahotelli Ky to Balder Finland. The agreed transaction value was approximately EUR 40 million.
The property is operated under a long-term lease by Lapland Hotels. The hotel comprises 273 rooms as well as dedicated “skybox” rooms with direct views to the Nokia Arena which the property is connected to.
Waselius advised Balder Finland throughout the transaction from due diligence reviews to contract negotiations and closing formalities.
