Tanja Jussila, Niklas Thibblin and Lotta Pohjanpalo have been appointed partners as of January 1, 2009.
Tanja Jussila’s main areas of practice are dispute resolution and mergers and acquisitions. Tanja joined Waselius in 1999 after having completed her court practice.
Tanja has represented a substantial number of Finnish and foreign clients in litigation and arbitration proceedings in Finland and abroad. In addition, Tanja regularly advises clients on related matters such as enforcement and interim measures, and is a trained mediator. Tanja also has broad experience in advising clients in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions and contract law matters.
Niklas Thibblin’s main area of practice is tax law. Niklas joined Waselius in 2000 and has broad experience in national and international corporate taxation and real estate transactions involving, among others, cross-border issues, tax planning and financing structures, mergers and acquisitions as well as management incentive plans.
Lotta Pohjanpalo’s main areas of practice are EU and competition law and mergers and acquisitions. Lotta joined Waselius in 2000 and has broad experience in advising both domestic and international clients in mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions, often involving a cross-border element. She also has solid experience and expertise in EU and competition law and regularly acts for clients in relation to multi-jurisdictional merger control proceedings, horizontal and vertical arrangements and abuse of dominance issues.
The three new partners’ expertise will enhance and strengthen the development of the growth areas of Waselius.
