We are pleased to announce that Aksu Tuominen has joined Waselius as Partner and Head of the firm’s Capital Markets practice, further strengthening our capabilities in both equity and debt capital markets, securities regulation and listed company advisory.
Aksu joins Waselius from Borenius, where he advised on a wide range of high‑profile domestic and international capital markets transactions, acting for issuers, banks and investors across the Nordic markets. He brings more than a decade of experience in IPOs, rights offerings, takeovers, bond issuances as well as other equity and debt capital markets transactions, combined with strong expertise in advising market participants on disclosure obligations, securities regulation as well as ongoing listed company compliance and governance issues.
In addition to his transactional work, Aksu has advised clients extensively on the evolving regulatory framework relating to sustainability, ESG disclosures and responsible investments, enabling him to support clients operating in the increasingly regulated capital markets.
Aksu’s appointment reflects our continued investment in the growth and development of Waselius’ capital markets practice, responding to client demand for integrated advice across public transactions, regulatory matters and the full lifecycle of listed companies.
“Capital markets are a key area of focus for our clients as they raise capital, pursue growth and navigate regulatory change. Aksu has a stellar reputation in the market, he brings a wealth of experience from capital markets transactions and advisory work, and his appointment significantly strengthens our capital markets offering. I am very pleased to welcome him to the partnership,” says Niklas Thibblin,
